Create and Befriend Annoying AI Personas on Instagram: It’s Now Possible!
Now you can Create and Befriend Annoying AI Personas on Instagram: It’s Now Possible! Meta has announced the rollout of a new feature in the US called AI Studio, which allows Instagram users to craft their own personal AIs. This feature offers two primary uses: as a personal assistant to provide jokes, advice, and more, or as a tool for Instagram creators to handle frequently asked questions.
Not only can you design your own AI, but you can also explore and interact with existing AIs on the platform. During my trial, I stumbled upon an AI called “Gay Bestie” from user Sluttypuffin. The AI, embodying all the stereotypical traits, was eager to “spill the tea, one sip at a time,” which I found rather over-the-top and clichéd.
Creating an AI on AI Studio is straightforward. You can either choose from various prompt templates or start a new AI from scratch. To get started, navigate to AI Studio or initiate a new DM on Instagram and select “Create an AI chat.” Meta has also provided a detailed handbook with a step-by-step guide and expert tips for effectively using AI Studio.
Once your AI is up and running, you can use it for personal tasks like seeking advice, generating memes, or brainstorming Instagram captions. Additionally, you can share your AI on Messenger or WhatsApp to showcase it to friends.
When I tested the “Gay Bestie” AI for fashion advice, the response was quite generic, with suggestions like a sleek black jumpsuit or a bold red dress, echoing the kind of answers you might receive from other AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Copilot.
For influencers, AI Studio offers a practical solution to manage repetitive queries and perform quick tasks, such as linking brands in their posts. It’s reassuring that AI-generated responses will be clearly labeled, ensuring transparency and avoiding any potential confusion for the audience.
